Meetings and Events

 

 

 

NOTICE: We need Teen Volunteer Pages. This position will be responsible for data entry of donated items, new acquisitions and cataloging the existing collection being kept. This is important work that needs to be accomplished in order for the library to be fully cataloged on-line and to become part of the state inter-library loan system.

Required: two hours per week for 15 weeks; these do not need to be consecutive weeks - the library will provide a letter of reference and commendation for your service and a gift certificate to the Claremont Movie Theater. Please contact Mrs. Phillips at 863-6921.

Adults After Dinner

A short piece by a regional author will be read and discussed in a comfortable and friendly environment.

A light dessert and beverages will be provided.

Creative Kids

Autumn in New Hampshire

Saturday   September 27

10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon

(Please register with the librarian by 2:00 PM Friday, September 26 so enough craft material and snacks can be available. Thank you.)

A craft project related to the story will follow the reading session.

A leaf mobile will be the craft project; children are encouraged to bring several leaves and twigs for their mobile.

Total session is approximately 2 hours.

Attendance of a parent or adult guardian is appreciated but not required.

Bring your current needlecraft project, whatever it is, or come and learn how to knit, crochet, hook, quilt, or mend...enjoy good company and an audio book in a comfortable and friendly setting.

Creative Kids - Mask Making

Learn about El Dia de Muerte (Halloween) and the art of making masks for celebrations to honor

departed ancestors.

 

October 29  Wednesday, 7:00 - 8:30 P.M.

New Hampshire Old Graveyard Association

Arthur Jillette presents a program about old graveyards, their monuments, and the symbolism of gravestone art.

 

 

LIBRARY NEWS

     

     

Construction:

The library is seeking bids for the installation of a doorway and windows in the spare storage space...hoping to create a computer and reference/research room. Please contact Cynthia Phillips for an appointment at 863-6921.
