The Town of Goshen has been awarded an Emergency Management Performance Grant in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). With this grant, the Town of Goshen will develop our Local Emergency Operations Plan (LEOP) which will guide us in responding to large scale disasters/emergencies in Goshen. It is the blueprint for how town agencies work together.

      STORM INFORMATION:

      2007:

According to John Herr, Emergency Manager for Goshen, the storm on 4/15 resulted in 75 % of the roads in Goshen being closed due to erosion from flooding and storm damage, and also resulted in power outages to many residents.

5/1/2007: “President Bush has declared New Hampshire a disaster area as a result of the April Nor’easter.  The following counties are eligible for Public Assistance (PA) which is for public property damage and Individual Assistance (IA) for personal property loss; Rockingham, Strafford, Grafton, Hillsborough, and Merrimack counties."

"Public Assistance (PA) only is available for Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire and Sullivan counties. This means there will be no FEMA help for the citizens of Goshen who lost personal property in the April Nor’easter. The Town is eligible to apply for assistance to rebuild roads and repair or replace other public property lost in the storm.”

4/19/2007 update:  "All power has been restored in Goshen as of Wednesday evening. Cross Rd. and Mountain Rd. remain closed. Lempster Coach Rd. and Ball Park Rd. are rough but improving. We expect all the town roads to be passable by Friday, April 20th. Warm dry weather will help the road crews get their work done sooner.

Thank you to the residents of Goshen for your patience during this emergency."
